Breaking e60 Vision News:
December 2007 First Use of Client Visualization for APAR Report: An e60 Vision client and their environmental consultant are using e60 visualizations in creating an APAR report. We are creating visualizations that comply with TCEQ APAR format requirements. Our clients can capture png views of any animation with one click for incorporation into the APAR. This will reduce the amount of time and resources necessary to complete the report, and improve the communication effectiveness.
October 2007 DVD Produced for Client: We have produced a DVD for a major Petrochemical client of ours who wanted to distribute a movie clip that would play on any standard DVD player of key site visualization animations which can be viewed with the touch of a button. The DVD is a good distillation of their data down to the key points they need to show visually.
August 2007 Storm Surge Visualization: We are in the process of completing our first storm surge simulation visualization for a petrochemical operating facility's disaster preparedness planning. The project will simulate categories of site flooding. The simulation will be used by the multinational petrochemical company to analyze current flood control measures and help add improvements to ensure the highest level of plant and operator safety.
July 2007 e60 Vision completes Particle Flow Simulation (PFS): Particle flow simulation, an e60 Vision specialty animation, has been used by several clients to visually represent the flow of surface and subsurface fluid onto, through and off of their property. The visualizations have been successful in showing the correct placement of remediation systems and also highlighting the effectiveness of currently installed systems and measures to control or stop the flow of a COC off of their site.
May 2007 Client Use of Visualizations with Regulators and as a Litigation Support Tool Continues: e60 Vision clients continue to have success using their visualizations to communicate project and site data to regulatory agencies. An international petrochemical client and an independent oil and gas client will be using their e60 visualizations to work with regulators over the next several months.
Legal litigation support as an end use for our visualizations has grown the most out of our core markets in the last 12 months. 30% of our client visualizations were used as a litigation support tool in the last year.
February 2007 Energy Companies Contact e60 Vision for Visualization of Air Emissions and Wind Data: e60 Vision has recently been contacted by both traditional and alternative energy firms about visualization of their air data. They are looking at showing emissions from operating facilities and impacts on the surrounding areas and also analyzing wind data for optimal power generation from wind turbines and as a presentation medium for potential investors.
December 2006 Regional Riverbed Visualization Project: e60 Vision has been contracted by a large multinational industrial company to visualize their data set for a multi-mile stretch of a river and riverbed. The client will use their visualization as part of an environmental impact study to be communicated to regulatory authorities and public interest groups.
August 2006 Landfill Concept Visualization Completed: Our client provided conceptual geospatial data which was visualized by e60 to create a robust 3 and 4D visual tool which will be used for:
Communicating multiyear phased future site concepts and planning to local government officials and public interest groups
Understanding the landfill site and surrounding area
Expansion analysis and planning
Calculating ongoing mass balance and air space/compaction
Groundwater and methane monitoring, analysis and communication
State and local government and regulatory reporting
June 2006 Oil and Gas Project Completed: e60 Vision has completed its first Oil and Gas project for a large independent energy firm. Our client provided data from their PETRA data base which is easily accepted by e60 technology for input. The visualization will help the client to communicate its property and well data to target audiences and also will assist them in analysis of the site for potential future drilling and work on existing wells.
May 2006 First Expert Witness Testimony Given: The project, completed in January of this year, gave e60 the chance to successfully provide expert witness testimony in the clients case relative to our technology and its applications.
April 2006 e60 Vision Signs Subcontract to Work with USAF: e60 Vision now has the opportunity to support the USAF with our visualization technology and service through a subcontracting agreement signed with a GEITA prime contractor. Capabilities briefings were given to different command staff members at several Air Bases around the U.S. with great interest prior to receiving the opportunity for the agreement.
March 2006 First Client Use of Analytically Guided Drill Assessment: A major Petrochemical client has contracted to use e60 Vision's newest technology and service offering, analytically guided drill assessment (AGDA). Through use of AGDA our clients will be able to reduce by 20 - 50% the number of data points necessary to achieve a client predetermined site assessment % confidence level versus a standard grid pattern of site drilling and assessment.
December 2005 e60 Vision completes first Litigation Support Visualization: The law firm of Brown McCarroll, Austin Texas office, will be using a visualization created by e60 Vision commissioned by their client as support for their case litigation effort.
e60 Vision enters the Mining industry: e60 Vision completed its' first visualization of a mine. The mine is located in Texas. The client was having significant difficulty communicating their complicated site and data both internally and externally. The visualization will be used to communicate key mine issues to management within their organization and also to key public interest groups outside of their organization.
November 2005 First Client Use of Visualization with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality: A major Petrochemical client was successful in gaining acceptance for their environmental program from the LDEQ for their production site in Louisiana.
August 2005 e60 Vision invited to attend the Texas Environmental Law Superconference: e60 Visions presentation at this years Environmental Law Superconference was called one of the most interesting. See the article from the conference and read about e60 by clicking here.
July 2005 First Client Use of Visualization with Texas Railroad Commission: A major Petrochemical client was successful in gaining closure of their site from the Texas Railroad Commission and used their site visualization created by e60 Vision to communicate key points and show effectiveness of their remediation system.
A representative of the supporting environmental consulting firm also present at the meeting suggested to the Railroad Commission (RRC) site remediation and special response team member that a similar visualization be created for another site under discussion to help understand the points being discussed. The RRC team member agreed that it would be helpful in clarifying key discussion points and site issues with the agency.
May 2005 Major Petrochemical Client Achieves Cost Reduction Benefit from Use of e60 Vision: A large international petrochemical client shared with us that they were successful in avoiding 10 to 20 new monitoring wells using their site visualization to discuss and negotiate with the TCEQ. The cost savings is estimated at $ 300 k plus for a less than $ 30 k investment with a payback in less than 6 months! A significant and quick return on their investment.
High Profile Case Won by Solid Waste Management Client Supported by e60 Vision Technology: We completed a very high profile case where our client, Texas Disposal Systems, was able to use their visualization of landfill FM 812 which is located at the end of the Austin Bergstrom Airport Runways to defeat a proposed contract to be awarded to their competitor IESI by the City of Austin.
After presentation of their argumentation on safety and environmental concerns to the Solid Waste Advisory Council (SWAC) on the 12th of May, they gained the SWAC’s support to appose the contract. At the City Council meeting on the 19th of May, where several TV stations had cameras and coverage, the Mayor announced that he was removing the contract proposal item indefinitely until further study can be done. A great win for our client and a great use of our technology and service!
The President and owner of TDS after the meeting said, “this is why you build a big weapon like your visualization, to give the opposition no choices. A great deterrent”.
January 2005 Second Success for e60 Vision Client with TCEQ: A second client has successfully used their e60 site visualization to communicate a large Texas Refinery site and establish a basis for their FOA application.
No paper maps, charts or tables were used. The client presented their site via digital projector from their laptop. They commented that the meeting was effective in getting agreement on key points and was accomplished in a much shorter timeframe than without their e60 visualization. The client said “it was money well spent”. This was a good use of the technology to provide clear communication and a basis for joint analysis resulting in agreement on a path forward between our client and the TCEQ.
